
Stanley D. Schierholz, age 79, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at his home near Warsaw. He was born on June 16, 1938, in Postville, Iowa, the son of Milton and Selma Nelson Schierholz.
He grew up on a farm in Iowa and was married to Donna Leister. They lived in Kansas City where they raised their two daughters. He was employed as a welder for Pittman Manufacturing for 26 years. He then went to work for R.M. Taylor as a millwright doing sheet metal fabrication until his retirement.
In 1975 he was united in marriage to Joann Karst and they continued to make their home in Kansas City and raised their two sons. They moved to the Warsaw area in 1998. Stanley never really quit working, he was always doing something including mowing grass for people and never charging for it.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Grandview and a member of the Elks Lodge in Warsaw. He was also an Ararat Shriner and a member of the Sedalia Shrine Club and Warsaw Shrine Club and participated in the Fun Corp.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joann, and a granddaughter.
He is survived by his companion, Daniell Pricer, of Warsaw, two daughters, Mechel Sitler, and her husband Robert, of Peculiar, Missouri, Larnel Lansberger, of Raytown, Missouri, two sons, Mark Schierholz, and his wife, Roni, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Patrick Schierholz, and his wife, Crystalyn, of Warsaw, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers, David Schierholz, of Postville, Iowa, and Paul Schierholz, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a sister, Carol Keune, of Gunder, Iowa, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Reser Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at which time there will be an Elks service. Funeral service 3:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2017at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., KCMO 64131. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
