STEPHANIE LAINE TRUJILLO passed peacefully, at the young age of 47 years, in the arms of her beloved family and friends on August 11th, 2016. Stephanie was born June 26th, 1969 in Omaha Nebraska to her father, Richard Harris, and mother, Sharon Moore Magnuson. Stephanie attended Park Hill High School and two years of college at UCM. She met her husband, Mark Trujillo, nearly 27 years ago. They were married at St. Charles Borromeo Parish on August 19th 1995, and as of this year, they have been married 21 years. After a long five and a half year battle with breast cancer and countless operations, Stephanie now rests peacefully in heaven.
Although she suffered much throughout her battle, you would have never been able to tell. She was always smiling, always putting her kids before herself, and never giving up. Her courage greatly served as an inspiration to all. She was always giving and took pride in serving others. Most knew her for her contagious laugh and a smile brighter than any other. Her life revolved around her faith, family, and friends. Anyone who knew Stephanie, whether as a friend or family member, knew of these special qualities. She is survived by her husband, Mark, and children, Nina 28, Chaz 21, Savannah 20 and Macy 17, along with her sister, Stacy Harris. During her battle, Stephanie’s faith grew stronger through her never-ending quest to please the Lord.
Everyone who knew her would agree, she was the most compassionate and considerate person with a big heart full of love. She touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all. But remember, her star is always shining brightly in the sky. The family would like to thank the St. Luke’s Cancer Center of Kansas City for all their support, as well as the the St. Luke’s Hospice house. The Rosary will be said at St. Charles Borromeo Parish on Tuesday August 16th at 5:00pm followed by a visitation until 9:00pm. The funeral service is also at St. Charles, on Wednesday August 17th at 9:00am followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
