Stephen Craig Boeding was born on November 15, 1953 to Col. Fridolin August Boeding and Virginia Ellen (Nix) Boeding in La Rochelle, France. He passed peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
As part of a military family, Steve traveled a great deal throughout Europe and the United States. He lived in France; Zweibrucken, Germany; Landstuhl, Germany; Rush Springs, Oklahoma; Virginia; Seneca, Kansas; Stockton, California and Manhattan, Kansas. He graduated from Monsignior Luckey High School in Manhattan, Kansas.
After high school, he pursued his love for travel by driving a truck and eventually built his own trucking company, La Rochelle, Inc. Tiring of the ownership stress, he joined the Teamsters and drove for ABF and formed life-long friendships. Steve was the original Google Map for many of his friends and family as he had the remarkable ability to remember streets and landmarks in cities across the nation. Steve loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He traveled many places on his bike, including numerous visits to Sturgis and Daytona Bike week.
Steve is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cynthia Boeding; his sister, Jennean Boeding; his favorite daughter, Jennifer Boeding-Boos and his son-in-law, Tim Boos.
