Steven “Revelle” Lee 94 of Independence, MO passed away peacefully at home Friday November 15, 2019. Funeral service will be held Saturday November 23, 2019 at 11 am, Hillcrest Christian Church, 11411 Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS.
Luncheon immediately following at the church, private interment at Floral Hills Cemetery.
Revelle was born February 2, 1925 in Harviell, MO to Joseph and Lucille Cambron Lee. He attended the Missouri School for the Blind and after graduation he married his high school sweetheart Bertie Mae Miller. Revelle learned the art of chair caning at the school for the blind. He worked for the Vendo Corp for 25 years. Revelle had a chair caning business in his home all of his adult life.
Revelle is survived by his only son Stephen Gary Lee, a cousin Helen Cook, his caretaker Steve Foster and his lifelong friend Martha Kelly. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lucille Lee, brothers Raphael Lee and Joe Lee, and wife Bertie Mae Miller Lee.
