Stephen Lee Roath, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully after a long illness at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO, on January12, 2024. Steve was born in Chillicothe, MO, on February 6, 1947 to Kenneth and Helen Roath.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Roath of San Tan Valley, Arizona. He was also preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steve, a true "people person" lived and worked to the fullest. He worked for Gourmet Award Foods, McKesson, Macy's, and Lowe's where he touched so many co-workers. Steve was devoted to and loved by his family.
He is survived by his son Jason and grandsons Clark and Darren of Raytown, MO; sister-in-law Kay Roath of San Tan Valley, Arizona; former wife, Sharon Roath of Kansas City, MO; and his partner Steve Alumbaugh of the home.
