Steve was married to Deborah (Clark) Shaw on June 4, 1983. Steve's passions were economics, teaching, and Wichita State University Basketball. He taught at Kansas State University, William Jewell College, MidAmerica Nazarene University, and Grantham University. He loved teaching economics and getting to know his students. Steve was a numbers guy, which led him to the poker and craps tables while Debbie spent the winnings at the spa.
Steve also enjoyed fellowship with his church family and spent many years driving the church van to pick up fellow members of the congregation and take them to the church for worship. He also spent many summers with his family and church family in Colorado for the annual Community Camp. Steve and Debbie were so very in love and always made sure they had date nights at their favorite restaurants. Also recently in life, Steve gained two granddaughters, Elsie and Cambria, who quickly became his world. He and Debbie had the joy of watching the girls while their parents worked, and he loved every minute of it.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gregory Shaw.
He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Deborah Shaw, daughters, Kimberly, Robin, Michelle, Amanda, Christine, and his grandchildren, Alex, Nathan, Ashley, Christopher, Megan, Elsie and Cambria.
