Sue was a great woman, she loved her family very much and they meant the world to her. her daughters are truly dedicated women and they had a great role model to look up to. Keep your strength and lean on each other for support. My prayers and condolences on your loss.


Sue and I were good friends first in grade school and high school.  I remember a slumber party at her house in high school where i first saw her pet monkey.  She was the only person I have ever known that had a pet monkey.  Sue was very talented and all of us missed seeing her these last few years, but we respected that it was the way she wanted it.  I think of her often very fondly.  I know she is at peace from all her troubles.  Carol Cunningham Chiles

I have known Sue 35 years and she was a "Class Act".  It would be hard to find a classier or prettier lady.
She prayed that I could have two daughters like hers.  They had her live in their homes and Jeff and Tom called her mother too and treated her like she was their own.
I am sorry the twins will not have her around.  Her vocabulary was unbelievable and the girls would have learned so much from her.
I pray for Joan and Katherine and hope they know how many times their mother praised them to me.
They would get her anything to help her eat from McDonald's chicken sandwiches to Chinese food.
You won't find better daughters.  Even Sue's caregivers were in awe at these two girls.
I will miss out nightly talks and all her great advise, so, so smart she was.

Dearest Joan, The pain you are feeling now will be comforted by family, God and time; just know your mom's spirit will always be with you. Have no regrets, she knows how much you and Katheryn took care of her and how much you all loved her through the years. Sue was a beautiful and strong woman and my mom's Best Friend when we lived in KC.  Just think they are both probably drinking a cup of coffee together watching down on us right now.

I loved knowing Sue through during grade school,  high school years and when we were married and had young children.   We had so many good discussions over coffee at her Fairway home.  She was a special and talented person who was artistic, creative, and had great flair.  In later years I missed having her in my life.  
I"m glad she remained close to Kathryn and Joan and spent a lot of time with her granddaughters.  I know she loved them and they must have loved having such a special grandmother.
I have sent prayers her way through the years, and know now she has found peace.

 Sue was a beautiful person inside and out and the dearest friend I have ever had, I will always miss her but will never forget her. Although I may never again be able to see her her face or hear her voice I will carry her spirit with me forever .

Sue was a lovely and talented lady and helped me with decorating my first home.  She was a friend for many years.

Sue was the very first friend I made when we both entered Southwest High School as eighth graders. I have many memories of her at my family's gatherings in Kansas City and especially all the fun we had during the summers at Lake Tapawingo. She had a fantastic recall of names, places and events in our high school years and loved to share those times when we would visit in later years. She will be remembered and missed by all of us who knew her----especially her Southwest High School friends
