Susan was born on September 27th1954 to parents Melvin and Matilda Buster. She attended grade school at Our Lady of Good Council and graduated high school in Westport. After high school, she continued onto cosmetology school.
Susan had a passion for beauty. She loved makeup, and doing her own nails along with others. She had her own “Susan’s Manicure and Pedicure Salon”, which she worked at for over 20 years.
She had many other creative interests as well. Susan was a painter, starting from a blank canvas to bring art to life. Great with a sewing machine, she could be found making clothing, blankets and quilts. She even had a green thumb and loved tending to her color filled garden.
Susan is proceeded in death by her parents Melvin and Matilda Buster, and siblings Larry Ringle and Candace Ervin.
She is survived by a family who misses her dearly. Brother Tim Buster; daughters Shelly Mattes and Lisa Sackrider; grandchildren Christopher Paige, Noelle Hall, Javan Nurse, and Kennedy Nurse; and nieces Kristina Kuhn and Sara Ervin.
A Celebration of Life will held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge BLVD Kansas City, MO) from 4:00-6:00pm.
