

SUSANN MARIA WILLIS Susann Maria Willis, age 52 from Raytown, Missouri passed away October 21, 2015 at home with her family, after bravely battling cancer for over 2 and ½ years. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 25th from 3-5 pm at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 26th at 10:00 am at Westridge Christian Church, 7903 Westridge Rd., Raytown, MO 64138. Burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Her passion to serve others outnumbered the stars. In her time of need, she took advantage of every opportunity to help others who also suffered from cancer. Susann and her daughter, Heather began Moms and Daughters, serving women and girls with personally made hats with hair who have or are currently going through chemo. Susann was able to sell anything as proven through her many small home businesses. She visited others who were sick and led many to Christ through her faithful living. Susann was married to her beloved husband, Joe, for 34 years, who faithfully stood by her side until the very end. Susann’s family will always be grateful for his love for his wife. She was a devoted mother and caregiver for both the young and old. Susann was active in her church. She had a talent of making others laugh. She is survived by her husband Joe Willis, son and daughter-in-law Joe and Jennifer Willis, daughter Heather Hawkins, four grandsons Cody, Evan, Liam and Shaun, Parents Eugene and Wanda Frye and Jesse Gallegos, Parent-in-laws Roger and Vivian Ohms, Sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Kevin Reed, brother Joey Frye, sister and brother-in-law Melissa and CJ O’Neal and sister Rachl Rada, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and John Gowans, sister-in-law Donna Brouhard (deceased) and niece and husband Lisa and Tony Invencio and Aunt Carmen Gallegos. Susann has a large extended family which includes Aunt Lois Beyer who was like a second mother. Susann was the amazing aunt to many nieces and nephews and had an incredible impact on all their lives. She had close relationships with many cousins throughout her life. Her friends are many and were loved like family. She will always be known as a Kung Fu Fighter.
