Sydney G. Hemphill, age 70, of Belton, Missouri, passed away January 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 1, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Mary (Hansen) Wooldridge. She was a cook at MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas for 16 years, retiring in March 2016. She was an avid crafter including quilting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, crocheting. She loved nature especially butterflies and hummingbirds. She adored gardening growing fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees. She also collected Angels. She was survived by her partner: David Kent of Belton, two daughters: Kim (Husband: Dean) Hart of Belton, Gwen (Husband: Tony) Spilker of Raytown. One brother: Ed McHargue and one sister: Vicky McKeeman both of Avondale, Az. Five Grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Many friends and co-workers.
