Washington Baptist Church, 3551 Wabash Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64109. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road. Tanequa was born December 4, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri, the first of 16 maternal grandchildren. From day one, she was the center of attention. "Ms. Personality Plus" Always dancing, singing, performing. . .Always on, and making those around her smile. She gave her life to Jesus Christ in her early teens at Light of Light Church of Kansas City, Missouri. There, she was president of the Youth Department, and also danced on the youth dance team and held a seat on the D.V.D. (Light of Life) dance committee. Tanequa was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, graduating with honors from Westport High School in 2009. She received a scholarship offer from Art Institute of Georgia to study Fashion Merchandising and was presently a student at the Kansas Art Institute working toward her Fashion Merchandising Masters Degree. Tanequa's most outstanding characteristics were her larger than life personality and self image. She was beautiful, and she knew it. Also, the way she loved. . .all out, and without restraint. The thing she loved most was her family, always making sure to say and show it with every interaction. She leaves to mourn her: Her mother, Darlene Lasley; father Travis Parker (Carmen Parker); sister Tanesha Parker; two half siblings Travis Parker II and Tranee Parker (Travis); and two step siblings Dishay and Lonzo Lasley (DeDe Lasley). She was very close to her aunts Letitia Nelson (Gerald), Christina Hopkins (Michael), LaRita Rose (Michael), and Tracie Parker. She had special relationships with her uncle Willie Mitchell III and her great uncles. Her maternal grandparents Betty Taylor (Larry Taylor) of Sylmar, California and paternal grandparents Thelma A. Wilson, who preceded her in death and Edward Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri. Tanequa was a great big cousin to all of her 15 first cousins, leaving a beautiful and lasting impression on al of them. The boys will miss her "swag lessons" and the girls, their "Diva Coach". She particularly enjoyed being a big kid and horsing around with baby cousins Krishan (Letita), Penny (Tyesha), and Symphony (Christina). The world is a better place having been blessed by her presences. She will be sorely missed. Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
