Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, James W. Dishman, and her parents, Patrick and Sabina Maloney, brother Joseph Maloney and sister Mary Ann Cahill. She is survived by her children, Mary (Joel) Johnson, Michael (Geri) Dishman, Peg (Les) Eidson, Jan (George) Morgan, Joan (Bobby) Linville, Jim (Jana) Dishman, her sister Helen Forte, 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Theresa was a devoted member of St. Thomas More Parish. Her faith was unwavering and she showed this in the way she lived her life. Her rosary was her favorite accessory. She was married to Jim for 70 years. They had the most wonderful lifelong love story and were an inspiration to all. And being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother was Theresa’s greatest joy.
Theresa was proud of her Irish heritage and green was her favorite color. She was also known for having “luck of the Irish” at the casino, which was her favorite pastime. Theresa’s favorite Irish blessing was:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
