Theresa was preceded in death by her son, David Smith; her brother, Dennis McMurdo; her parents, Robert N. and Dorothea M. McMurdo as well other family members. She is survived by Amy Baldeh-May of Peculiar, MO; Elaine Taylor and spouse Richard of Talala, OK; Christopher Smith of Muskogee, OK; Katie Smith of Talala, OK. Her legacy leaves 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grands; and 2 great-great-grands.
Theresa always had an open-door policy for many who needed a place to go. She retired from Sprint after 26 years. She was lovingly known as the Popcorn Lady by her friends and the best Mississippi Mud Cake baker by her grandchildren.
