Theresa Mary Ortiz Soltero, age 63 of Leawood, KS passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2018. Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, January 25 at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS. Burial at Forest Hill and Calvary, KCMO. Visitation 6pm – 8pm, Rosary – 7:30pm, Wednesday January 24 at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd., KCMO.
She was lifted up by God’s angels and will join her parents Paul & Theresa Ortiz, brother Bobby and sister Carol. Theresa met her true love, Gary Soltero, in 1980. They were married on August 20, 1984 and together they raised their two children, Dominic and Stefen.
Theresa worked for 35 years at AT&T and nine years for the Internal Revenue Service. She is survived by her husband Gary, sons Dominic (Agnes) and Stefen and grandson Alex. Brothers Paul, Joe, Henry, Michael, John, Andy & Charlie, Sisters Delores, Rita, Linda, Tina & Debbie.
She was solid in her faith, kind in her actions, wise in her advice and an example to all who knew her. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
