Thomas “Tom” Wayne Heck, age 89, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Tom was born in Kansas City, MO on July 31, 1931 to parents Clarence E. and Bessie L. (Smith) Heck. He was in the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He retired from the Kansas City Star Newspaper in June of 1994. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his time bowling, spending time with friends, and going to church.

He leaves behind his daughter, Michelle (Steve) Heck; son, Tom (Susan) Heck; grandchildren, Tom (Michelle) McDaniel, Derek (Stephanie) McDaniel, Tom (Theresa) Heck III, Heather Heck; and 5 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
