It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Honeycutt on July 9, 2026. Tom was born on September 19, 1959 to Estel and Delores Honeycutt in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Raytown South High School in 1977. He went to work for Hallmark Cards and worked there for 30 years.
Tom was a person that knew no strangers. He had a rare and beautiful gift: the uncanny ability to connect with just about everyone and make the people he encountered feel like a friend. His smile and outgoing, playful personality could light up a room.
The past few years had been difficult for Tom facing chronic medical issues. With his indomitable positive attitude he faced life's hard stuff with grit. Despite his challenges, he never stopped smiling or sharing laughs with others. While our hearts mourn the loss we take comfort knowing he is no longer suffering.
Tom leaves a hole in the hearts of family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and sense of humor. All of those whose memories, adventures, inside jokes and nicknames will hold special places in their hearts. He made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed.
Tom leaves behind his parents, Estel and Delores Honeycutt, his children Jaime Buckles Cipollone and Tyler Honeycutt. His sister, Lori Majors (Steve) and brother Rodney Honeycutt (Kim) and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tim, you were a great friend and please know we will be forever grateful.
In typical Tom fashion, no service is planned. He wasn't one for formalities. Tom's family thanks you for the support and asks that you share his passing with anyone that was touched by his life. If you choose, feel free to leave a message or share a favorite memory.
