Thomas Ward Kraus, 40, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at St. Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A. Reed Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local animal shelter or charity of choice. Tom was born June 24, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his BS from Truman State in 1992. He had worked eight years for Seaboard Farms and was currently working at Surewest as Senior Accountant. He is survived by his parents Richard and Marilyn Jean (Harper) Kraus, sister Kathy Tierney and husband Brian, niece Emily Tierney and nephew Michael Tierney, all of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
