After a mighty fight, heaven opened it's gates to Thomas Joseph Langley, Jr. on March 13, 2014. Preceded in death by his father Thomas Langley, Sr. and mother Ida Ruth he was a superhero to many. From building skyscrapers and businesses to babysitting grandchildren, he did it all and taught us along the way. The greatest lesson we didn't learn until his later years. . . His Alzheimer's diagnosis opened his eyes and heart to both giving and receiving love, compassion, and laughter. Survived by a brother, sister, daughter, son, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will be missed but more importantly remembered and his legacy lives on. Special thanks to our Angels and Doctors at Kansas City Hospice House for their amazing care and compassion. Private services to be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home. In leu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Kansas City Hospice House.
