

Thomas Robert Lundberg, 62, Paola, Kansas, passed away October 7, 2016. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Tom was born October 20, 1953 in Pensacola, Florida, son of Robert and Janet Lundberg. He grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, graduating from East High School. He attended the University of North Dakota, where he joined Alpha Tau Omega and graduated with a Degree in Business.
In 1977 Tom married the love of his life Caroline Bye. After several moves around the Midwest they settled in the Kansas City area where Tom was a VP for IDS American Express. He loved golf, fishing, hunting, and snow-skiing. He was an avid Royals and Minnesota Viking fan. He had been a member of Crime Stoppers, Royal Lancers and Noppers. He worked hard at creating memories for his family which was his goal and gift to them all.
He was preceded in death by his son Christian, mother Janet and grandparents. Tom is survived by his wife Caroline; daughters Cara Perez (Armando) and Rachael; Father Bob (Barb); Sisters: Susie, Karen, Brother Ron (Mary), Kathy McGilley (Mark), Peter (Cindy) Bye; grandchildren Triston, Isaac, Skylar and Eva; and nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
