

Thomas P. Moody, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Manor Care Center. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, Jan. 10th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Burial to follow in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel with the rosary recited at 7:30p.m.
Thomas was born on October 30, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to Edgar A. & Cleo M. (Dunnagan) Moody. He was an Army Engineer Veteran of the Korean War & a member of the Korean War Auxiliary #2. He was a truck driver for 25 years for National Steel Delivery & then at Galvmet Steel Delivery for another 5+ years before he retired. He was an avid bowler & coached his kids to be bowlers; he was a Chiefs fan; he supported his grandkids & great grandkids at all sporting & special events. He loved to sit on his front porch & sing & loved to tinker around his shed & house. He was baptized a Catholic & attended Catholic schools as a child.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Cecelia; parents, Edgar & Cleo; brother, Donald G. Moody; son, Thomas P. Moody, Jr. & grandson, Christopher M. Chrisman. Survivors include his daughter, Paula Chrisman (Michael); three sons, Randall Moody (Jackie), Russell Moody & Craig Moody (Jeanna); grandchildren, Brandi Moody, Scott Chrisman (Haleigh), Brett Moody, Emily Moody & Dylan Moody; great grandchildren, Alexander Moody, Shayden Moody, Cierra Masters, Gauge Chrisman & Lydia Edwards; two brothers, Robert Moody & Michael Moody (Linda) & sister Nancy Kimble.
