Timothy Ray VanGoethem, 51, of Kansas City, MO, passed away February 16th, 2013 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24th, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 25th, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd. Timothy was born February 13th, 1962 in Kansas City, MO, son of Ralph Henry and Jeanette Elvia (Reliford) VanGoethem. He attended St. Pius X School, Old Mission Junior High and was a 1980 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. He was an Eagle Scout. Timothy had worked for Dean Machinery Co., Foley Equipment Co. and worked for over 20 years for U.P.S. Delivery.
He is also survived by his wife Rhonda Carol (Parks) VanGoethem; son Darral Dean VanGoethem and wife Laura of Gardner, KS; daughter Diana Kay VanGoethem of Overland Park, KS; stepson Jake Parks of Kansas City, MO; brothers Thomas Leon VanGoethem and wife Erin of Stanley, KS and William Henry VanGoethem and wife Lynda of Overland Park, KS; sister Susan Marie VanGoethem Herrman and husband Joe Herrman of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren Patrick VanGoethem and Addyson Trimborn; extended family and friends.
