December 8, 1969 -- February 27, 2026
Todd's guitar strings may have fallen silent, but the melodies he created will echo in our hearts forever. At 56, this gifted musician from Kansas City lived a life orchestrated by love, laughter, and the pure joy of making music.
A Lee's Summit High School graduate, Todd transformed his passion for guitar into a lifetime of songwriting that touched everyone who heard him play. His fingers danced across fret boards the same way he danced through life -- with enthusiasm and genuine heart.
As a devoted son, Todd remained his mother June's biggest fan until her passing, carrying her love forward in everything he did. His father Don was a steady presence and source of pride in his life, and together with his brothers Brian, Mark, and Patrick, they formed the family foundation that grounded him. His son River knew him as the dad who made every day an adventure. Todd wasn't just the fun parent -- he was the parent who showed that life's greatest songs are written through shared experiences.
Whether casting fishing lines, conquering mountain bike trails, playing music with his beloved band Kaneyed, or celebrating life's moments with friends, Todd approached everything with the same passion he brought to his music. His father Don and brothers will carry forward his legacy of living fully and loving deeply.
A Musical Celebration of Life will be held when the time feels right -- just as Todd would have wanted.
