

She was raised in Arkansas but moved often when her father was on various military assignments during World War II. She eventually moved to Texas with her mother then married and lived in Houston where she had son, George Stephen Saegert.
She enjoyed living in the Kansas City area for over fifty-two years where she raised three boys after a military transfer relocated her family from San Antonio, TX. She was a member of Red Bridge Baptist Church in southern KC for twenty-five years where she raised her family and was involved in the adult singles ministry and taught Sunday School for high school girls.
Lynn was employed for many years at the Kansas City, MO HUD office (Housing and Urban Development) and served as the personal assistant to and performed secretarial duties for the Director of the Office of Regional Administration. In 1983 at age fifty she earned her Associates Degree then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from UMKC in 1988. She went on to earn a Masters degree in Social Work from Kansas University in May of 1992. Some of her many work assignments for the US Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) Fort Leavenworth, KS was as a mental health counselor, individual, cofacilitating groups, chemical and alcohol, reality therapy, relapse prevention, psycho-education and larceny.
As a years long member of Grace and Holy Episcopal Church after her marriage to Elmer C. Binford in 1989, Lynn enjoyed serving in the church's Soup Kitchen Pantry that ministered to the homeless in the downtown Kansas City area on a daily basis. Lynn enjoyed Bible study groups, visiting family and traveling to Show-Me Christian Youth Home in La Monte, MO to visit the families and foster children living there at the ministry and playing a part in their lives.
She and her husband moved to the Brookside area where she loved tending to her various flowers and gardening finding great joy working in her yard. They lived there for twenty-five years and attended Wornall Road Baptist Church during some of that time. Lynn loved her family and enjoyed making new friends wherever she went. She especially enjoyed going to Michael Forbes in Brookside as well as Jack Stacks and McCormick's & Schmidt's on the Plaza on birthday and anniversary celebrations. She cherished each friendship and love received over the past few years while dealing with the challenges of being a widowed senior.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Twila Underhill, older brother Marion Underhill and half sister Ralvina Underhill. She is survived by her younger brother Billy Jim Baker from Gatlinburg, TN, her eldest son Stephen Saegert of Newtown, PA, son, Kelly Creech of Kansas City, MO and son, Tracy Creech of Lake Worth Beach, FL. She is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren Melissa, Megan, Jesse, Leah, Hannah, Maria, Tatiana, Ryan and Sergei, her six great-grandchildren, nieces Twila, Paula, Julie and nephew John Underhill.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 15th (what would have been her 90th Birthday) 10:30 am at Wornall Road Baptist Church, 400 West Meyer Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64113.
