Tyler Scott Nash, 32, of Independence, MO passed away suddenly at his home on March 29, 2018. He was born on April 24, 1985 in Independence, MO. Tyler graduated from Blue Springs High School in 2003 and continued his education at the University of Missouri, Kansas City graduating in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and honors, Summa Cum Laude. Tyler was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and the Missouri Epsilon Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon. He worked as an independent software consultant and engineer in the Kansas City Metro Area.
Tyler was an avid KC Chiefs fan and lover of nature. He was endowed with a flair for detail, sharp wit, and great sense of humor. He is survived by his mother, Deborah Haffner (Loos) of Naples, FL; father, Steven Nash of Independence, MO, and brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Hanna (Cox) Nash of Stuart, FL. Other survivors include his paternal grandfather, Thomas Nash of Independence, MO; maternal grandmother, Janet Loos (Webers) of Blue Springs, MO; uncle, Paul Nash of Independence, MO; aunt, Barbara Rymer (Simmons) Las Vegas, NV, great-aunt, Deborah Webers of St. Louis, MO, and other great uncles and aunts, family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 Lees Summit Road, Independence, MO on Thursday, April 5th at 10am with interment following at Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
