Velma Jean Fletcher, 84, Harrisonville, MO passed away July 11, 2017. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, at United Methodist Church of Harrisonville. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Harrisonville United Methodist Church, 2600 E. Mechanic St., Harrisonville, MO 64701.
Mrs. Fletcher was born February 8, 1933 in Warsaw, MO, daughter of Lester Lutman and Loni Lois (Quigley) McCloud Lutman. She was a member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church and Sunshine Chair for Chapter 1012 of NALC. She danced for 30 years with the Huff n Puff Square Dance Club and was a member of the Kansas City Organ Club. Mrs. Fletcher loved Lawrence Welk and flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Ben Fletcher, son David Fletcher, daughters Ruth Albertson and Sharon Page, son-in-law Noble Page, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
