VERA LORENE (BREIT) MILLER On May 10, 2014, at the age of 99, beloved mother and grandmother answered her call to come home. Lorene, as she was known to most, was born at home in rural Worth County, MO on February 23, 1915. She married Chelmer Miller of Parnell, on Christmas Eve Day 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years, son, Ronald, and 2 step brothers, Alva E. Breit and Leland Cloos. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Joyce and Wayne Derr of Paola KS; 3 grandsons, Patrick Miller of LA, Carl Derr & wife Lisa, and Paul & Erica Derr, Paola KS; 5 great grandchildren, Brayden, Austyn, Reid, Addyson, & Liam Derr; & her long time friend and caregiver, Jim Osborn. She will be sadly missed by all. Lorene had requested that only graveside services will be held on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11am in Parnell, MO at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, only donations be made in her name to their favorite charity or church.
