

Vincent Garcia, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday Apr 6, 2005 at Research Medical Center. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 am Sat Apr 9, at Guadalupe Shrine, 907 Cesear Chavez followed by burial in Forest Hill/Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood, Kansas City, MO. Contributions may be made to the church.
Mr. Garcia was born Apr 5, 1924 in Kansas City, KS. He had been employed at Wilson’s Meat Packing Company for 31 years retiring in 1975. Vince was a US Army Air Corps decorated veteran of WW II serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater for 20 months. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Emidio Garcia and Thomasa Quiroz Garcia as well as a son, Nicolas Garcia. He is survived by Clementina Pacheco Garcia, his wife of over 62 years; his 6 children, Elizabeth Konick and her husband Edward, Vincent D. Garcia and his wife Rita, Carlos Garcia and his wife Denise, Patricia Garcia, Roberto Garcia and his wife Jill and Salvador Garcia; 3 brothers, Ausencio, Peter and Natcho as well as sisters, Nellie Martinez and Thomaso Campion. He was a hard working man always willing to help family and friends. He spent time listening to Mexican music, working around the house and his cars. He loved his family and cherished his 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. We will miss our loving husband and father.
