

Virginia F. Davidson, 95, passed away October, 16, 2014. She was born on September 24, 1919. She was the beloved wife of Robert Davidson married 74 years. Virginia was a Texas native transplanted to Kansas City in 1942 and was a member of Evangel Temple. Virginia worked building Glider aircraft during WWII and retired after 25 years for Western Electric. Virginia enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, and cooking for her family. Virginia was involved with the youth ministry and managed the book store at Evangel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davidson, one brother, Leon Edwards, a sister, Mary Hendrix and daughter, Wanda Davidson. Survivors include, two daughters, Anita Bortko and Robbie Sutherland, one sister, Grace Aldridge and one brother, Henry Clay “Jack” Edwards, six grandchildren, Bob Sutherland, Sondra Sue Sutherland, Bryan Schlotzhauar, Allen Schlotzhauar, Bo Sutherland and Andrea Young, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandsons. Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
