Virginia (Ginger) Lee Hunsucker, 94 of Kansas City MO, Passed away peacefully Dec 23, surrounded by family. Ginger was born July 9, 1927, to Howard Otice Wise and Carrie Jennings in Union Star Missouri. She graduated from Union Star High School.
She moved with her husband to Kansas City in 1950, where she worked for Crown Drug Store and then The Jones Store at the Blue Ridge Mall from August 1962 until her retirement in January of 1988. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband of 43 years, Lester L. Hunsucker, and two sisters, Wilma and Evaline.
She is survived by three sons. Gary (Lynda), Randy (Pam), Greg (Mary). Eight grand children, Leslee, Sara (Chad), Gregory (Angela), Amy (John), Michael (Bridget), Matthew, Lindsey (Mike), and Samuel (Tia) and 13 Great grand children. Gingers true love was her family as she strived to be the best wife, mother, den mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to sew and that showed in her 26 year career in the fabrics department of the Jones Store.
Services for Ginger will be Wed Jan 5th. At Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Kansas City, MO. 64133. Visitation will be at 1:00, funeral service at 2:00, Graveside burial to follow.
