Virginia Mae Sackman

Virginia Sackman, 86, Kansas City, passed away Nov. 30, 2016. Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. A Visitation will precede the service from 1:00 – 2:00. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.

Virginia was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Monticello, KY to Edgar and Gustava Burnett. When she was in the eighth grade, the family moved to Route 1, Kingston, MO. There she met Roy Sackman. After Virginia graduated from Mirable High School, she and Roy were married. Roy passed in 1986.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved Roy; and her sister, Edsel. Survivors include her daughter, Diana Knopf; granddaughter Denise Nichols; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
