Vivian Aldona Benson

Vivian was born on April 26, 1929, in Richmond, Missouri, to the late Cyrus Victor See and Ethel Ruby See (Smith).

Vivian is preceded in death by her late husband, Harry Benson, who passed away in 2006.

Vivian is survived by one living sister, Trula Mae Allen. She is preceded in death by all of her other brothers and sisters, Bonna Dell, Ruby Lanor, Cyrus Jr, Ethel Fonda, Walter Victor, and Shelby Jean.

Vivian is survived by her two children, Shelly Simmerson and Wayne Alderson.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Eric Alderson, Nathan Alderson (Amber), Angela Biggs, Jennifer Moss, Sean Simmerson (Janessa), and Tara Williams (Tyler). Grandma Benson joins her beloved granddaughter, Tamra Simmerson, in Heaven.

Vivian was a great grandmother to 12 children: Raegan, Maddox, Bryson, Paxson, Angelica, Anthony, Noah, Scarlett, Skylar, Harper, Hadley, and Hank.

Everyone who knew Vivian loved her spirit. She was “Grandma” to everyone who met her and she made sure anyone entering her home always felt welcomed. She always had a fridge full of food, a drawer full of candy and a heart full of love!

Grandma played a big role in the raising of all of her grandchildren and made sure we were always happy and well taken care of. She loved each of us deeply and would do anything she could to make sure we had everything we ever needed. Grandma is truly one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
