Walter Emil Klarner, 73 of Mission KS passed away January 8, 2015. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30 at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W 47th KCMO. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Johnson County Community College Scholarship Fund.
Walter was born June 3, 1941 in Clinton, MA. He was a master professor at Johnson County Community College and taught there for over 30 years. He loved travel, art, wine, cooking, French cousine, and was an accomplished pianist. His two favorite places to visit were Paris, France and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. His impact on others was always positive and long lasting whether they be students, faculty, family or friends. He will be greatly missed.
Walter is survived by his son, Jeremy; daughter-in-law, Jus; his grandson, Ajay; sister, Cynthia; nephew, Jeff; as well as numerous friends in and around Kansas City. Online condolences may be given at www.mcgilleymidtownchapel.com.
