Wanda Iline Hinkle Flood, 93 of Raytown left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 29, 2024. Wanda was born October 23, 1930, in Marshall, MO and graduated from Corder High School, but spent most of her life in the Kansas City area.
She was a faithful member of Loma Vista Baptist Church where she spent countless hours volunteering. Wanda was an avid quilter making every family member a quilt. She enjoyed the fellowship of the St. Luke’s United Methodist’s Devoted Stitchers group in Kansas City for many years making lap pads and donating them to John Knox Village. She also donated homemade dish cloths and stocking caps to R.E.A.P. in Raytown.
Wanda is survived by her 2 daughters Mary Bullard (Dan) and Carla Arcano, her brother Vernon Hinkle (Linda), 6 grandchildren Jeff Edgington, April Slagle (Brandon), James Arcano (Jess), Paige Arcano, Logan Arcano (Victoria), Grant Arcano (Lexi) and 6 great grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband James Leroy Flood in 1966, her parents Oliver E. and Oma E. Hinkle, 2 brothers Francis (Bud) Hinkle and Glenn Hinkle and her son-in-law Benjamin J. Arcano, Jr.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral will occur Friday, April 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside will occur Friday, April 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
