
Wanda I. Rys, 91, of Kansas City, MO passed away on July 13, 2010 at Seasons Care Center. Visitation will be at McGilley & Sheil Chapel on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 2-4pm with rosary at 3:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10:30am with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Wanda was born in Kansas City, MO on March 29, 1919 to Thomas and Anna Rys. She was a past member of St. Stanislaus and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Churches. Wanda served the Lord in many capacities at St. Stanislaus Church over the years including serving as a bookkeeper and belonging to the Altar Society. She was a bookkeeper for KC Home Trailer Co. for many years and retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. Wanda enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and many other crafts. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Rys and is survived by a brother, John Rys, Sr. (Virginia); a nephew, John Rys, Jr. (Denese); a niece, Cheryl Peters (Ron) and great nieces and nephews, Sara, Emma, Michael, Matthew and Caroline.
