A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6th at 1:00 pm at Village Presbyterian Church at 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorothy Drummond, his brother Dave Drummond as well as his beautiful bride, Carole Drummond.
He is survived by his brother, Steve Drummond (Janet); daughter, Beth (Terry) Dahl; son, Mike (Alisha) Drummond and two grandsons, William and Jacob Drummond as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born April 1, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the University of Kansas where he joined the fraternity Sigma Kappa and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City after serving in the Army. Bill spent over 35 years in the metal industry. In 1983, Bill, along with two other partners; Lew Krausse and Fred Paulsen, formed the metal distribution company Professional Metals now known as Metals USA.
Bill was a lifelong member of Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, an avid golfer and a member of Milburn Country Club for over 50 years. Many of his best memories took place on golf courses with holes-in-one on the 3rd hole at Milburn golf course with his wife and dear friends as well as one on his 15th birthday with his dad.
