

William Chester Bray, North Kansas City, Missouri, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Missouri. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30 at Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 12-1:30 p.m. on Friday at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
Bill was born on May 19, 1929 in Couch, Missouri to George B. and Hazel T. (Couch) Bray. He served in the Army from 1950-1952 and was stationed in Germany. He worked at J.C. Auto Park in downtown Kansas City, MO and often parked Harry S. Truman’s car. He also worked at M & M Typesetting CO. as a typesetter for many years and after retirement worked for Kansas City Auto Auction.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 35 years, Kathryn Wilmer, in 1990. He is survived by his son, Robert A. Bray, of North Kansas City; sister, Mary Lou Combs and her husband John, of Arnold, MO; brother, Joe A Bray and his wife Marita, of Marshall, MO; and three nieces and their families.
