

William F. Cuni of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 26th, 11:00 a.m., at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS, 66206. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Pewee Valley, Kentucky at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Cure of Ars Catholic Church, or to a charity of your choice.
Bill was born on May 9, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Albert and Alma (Roth) Cuni. He was an Eagle Scout, and graduated from Xavier High School and the University of Cincinnati. He served in the US Army at Nuremberg and worked at IBM in large system sales for 36 years. Bill enjoyed volunteering at various charities and community organizations, playing tennis and golf. He loved gatherings with family and friends, especially his yearly trips to Sanibel Island. Bill’s grandchildren lit up his life and he enjoyed watching their many activities.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sylvia Cuni, Jane (Tom) Armstrong and Hap (Bob) Ortner. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary (Fischer) Cuni; daughters, Sharon Burson, Alison (Rick) Clark and Annie (Matt) Armstrong. He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren, Quinn Burson, RJ, Will and Sam Clark, Mary Kate, Caroline and Maggie Armstrong.
