William was born September 30, 1927 in Parker, KS to Perry and Maude Griffith. He served in the Army from 1946 to 1948. Following his return from the Army, he worked at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City until his retirement in 1995. Bill served as an elder for many years at the Raytown Church of Christ. He cherished his family above all other things in life. Bill's hobbies included gardening, watching his granddaughters in their activities, and watching the Royals games.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty; twin daughters, Brenda (Mike) Schlenk and Barb (Dave) Seuferling; granddaughters, Noelle Schlenk, Cassie Seuferling, Kara Schlenk; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 siblings, and his first wife Delpha.
Visitation will be held at Raytown Church of Christ, 6000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO on Saturday, January 26th at 10:00 followed by funeral services at 11:00. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following church services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kindred Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association, or Fair Haven Children's Home. The other way you can remember Bill best would be to spend time with your family. He loved spending time with his family.
