

Bill Matheson, 91, of Kansas City, MO died on July 31, 2011 at his Branson, MO home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Redemptorist Church, 3333 Broadway. The Rosary will be at 9 a.m. with visitation following until Mass on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Greeley, KS. Bill was born on January 31, 1920 in Salt Creek near Nowata, OK. His early years were spent in Oklahoma and later in Kansas City, MO. Bill served in the Signal Corps for three years during World War II in North Africa and Europe. He was a skilled mechanic with Building Trades Local 1179. He enjoyed woodworking, repairing almost everything, fishing, hunting, feeding birds, keeping computer records, and helping the St. Francis de Sales Association. Bill is survived by his wife, Annette (Rommie) and three generations of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Ross A. Matheson; brothers, baby Alexander, Bob, and John; sister, Doris Renner.
