Dear Doris, I know I'm late in responding but I just found out about Bill's passing. I've known Bill all my life because he and my mother were best friends from H.S. and reporatorie theatre. He was by far one of the funniest men I ever knew and I loved him dearly. My folks also loved him and enjoy not only his wonderful array of humor but he and my father both enjoyed a good political banter and we still loved him even though he was a republican(that's the sort of humor we had fun with Bill over!!!). I know he and my mother are having a great time together now. Enjoy each other and know that you are both missed tremendously. Give my mama a hug Bill. I know she will enjoy her time with you, David and my husband. All the greats are going and I pray it's to a better place without any pain!!!

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. We have so many good memories of him in Raytown and Misssouri politics and always enjoyed his wit when in his company. He will be missed by you, his family and all of his friends.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all of Bill's family and relatives. I first met Bill when I was 16, during my first trip to the U.S.. Him and his wife Doris hosted Patrick and myself for almost a month and I am still impressed today by their hospitality. I will never forget that, and hearing the news about Bill really made me sad. He was a great man, we will all miss him. Rest in peace, Bill.

My husband and I met Bill at a Optomist Club function in Raytown, MO. He had the gift of making people feel at home. He was always friendly, kind and fun to be around. God bless him and your family, and our sympathy at your loss. We are sure he filled your lives with fabulous memories. Jackson and Janet Erwin
