William F. Price

William F. Price, 78, of Independence, Missouri passed away on January 1, 2011. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Family Services, 10500 Barkley, Suite 216, Overland Park, Kansas 66212. Bill was born January 2, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a longtime member of the Raytown Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and 39 years of service in the Army Reserves, totaling 42 years of service for his country. He was a member of the VFW in Gladstone, Missouri. Bill retired after 29 years of service with the KCMO Police Department, participated with the Metro Squad, and instructed at the Police Academy. He also worked with the Raytown Police Department for 10 years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara (Brasfield) Price and brothers, George Jr., Bob and Cliff Price. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dee Price of the home; daughter, Debby Garbee and husband, Brian of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; son, Mike Price and wife, Pam of Blue Springs, Missouri and two grandchildren, Courtney and Carter Price.
