William T. Scheibel, 87, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away August 20, 2016. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, at Grandview Assembly of God, 12400 Grandview Rd, Grandview, MO 64030. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Bill was born to William and Helen Scheibel on May 13, 1929 in Paterson, New Jersey. On October 6, 1951 he married Florence E. Rafferty of Silver City, Iowa. They had two children, William H. and Nancy Jo Scheibel.
Bill served in the U.S Air Force from June 28, 1948 until retirement on August 1, 1975. After that he was employed by the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department from April 1976 until October 6, 1990 serving most of his time in the Traffic Enforcement Unit until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, William H. Scheibel, a sister, Carolyn Aitken and his loving wife of almost 54 years who went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2005. He is survived by one sister, Helen Cornish of New Jersey and daughter Nancy Jo Scheibel of Dade City, Florida.
