William Warren (Bill) Smith Jr. January 14, 1941-April 2, 2026, Bill as everyone called him was born the second child of William Warren Smith and Ethel Odessa (Ford) Smith in Kansas City, MO on January 14, 1941. He was educated in the KCMO School District. He worked for Jack Cooper Transport Company and The City of Kansas City, MO from which he retired from. He married Linda Tyler on June 28, 1973, and to this union she brought two children, Penny and Anthony. On February 16, 1975, they welcomed a son Damon.
William is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda Smith, daughter Penny Tyler, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and James Garrett, four brothers Kenneth Smith, Clifford Smith, DeWayne Smith and Reginald Smith. Granddaughter Ashley Tyler. Three great-grandchildren J. Anthony, Ashton and baby Tyler.
He is survived by his sons Damon Smith and Anthony Tyler Kansas City, MO. Five Grandchildren Jerome Tyler, Brian Tyler, Brandy Tyler, Sir Sebastain Taylor KCMО and Tearra Daniels Warsaw. MO. A sister Ann Smith Kansas City, KS, brother & sister-in-law Glenn & Pamela Smith Kansas City, MO. Six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
