William F. Spradlin left his loving family and friends on June 25, 2026. Bill was born in Carthage, MO, on November 24, 1927, to Helen M. Spradlin and William C. Spradlin. The family moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1928. Bill attended Paseo High School, class of 1945.

Bill met Mary E. Barnett, who became his wife on February 24, 1952. They had two children, a daughter, Patricia (Patty), and son, Larry. Bill and Mary enjoyed 73 great years together before her passing on April 13, 2025.

Prior to marriage, Bill was attending Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO, when he was drafted into the Army. He instead, enlisted in the Navy, and was stationed in Pensacola, FL, at the Navy hospital where he served as a Pharmacy Tech. After his discharge from the service, he returned to school and took a part-time job at the Jones Store in downtown Kansas City. He was soon promoted to assistant buyer in Men’s Furnishings then later became the Store Manager of the Jones Store in Prairie Village, KS, where he remained for over 30 years until his retirement.

Bill is survived by his loving family, daughter Patricia D. Eybel (her husband, Bruce) and son, Larry D. Spradlin, M.D. (his wife, Daleen), four grandchildren, Kristen Begeman (her husband, Corey), Kim Spradlin, Matthew Eybel (his wife, Bethany), Jeff Spradlin (his wife, Tracy), and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Eybel, Cameron Begeman, Khloe Begeman, Kora Begeman, and Sloan Spradlin.

Honoring his wishes, he will be lovingly remembered at a family memorial service.
