

In his younger years, Roger was a boy scout. Roger then became a member of the Order of DeMolay earning the Representative DeMolay award and becoming Master Counselor of Mother Chapter, Order of DeMolay.
During his college career, Roger majored in economics with a minor in accounting. Roger also studied courses in development of civilization, world and American history, courses in science, political science, government, business, human anatomy and physiology.
While in college, Roger started his photography business which he ran successfully for forty-three years, photographing weddings, family, senior, engagement, business portraits, award banquets, business meetings, etc. During this time, Roger also obtained an insurance life health license working as a part time agent for different companies. He also enjoyed going to auctions where he could buy things he could sell for a profit, doing quite well at it.
After shutting down his photography business, Roger continued to sell life and health insurance, became an election judge for Jackson County, Missouri, and a worked as a marketing promoter for a home improvement company.
Roger was preceded in death by his father and stepmother (Homer and Shirley Stoltzfus), his mother, Rose Stoltzfus and his brother, Ron Stoltzfus. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law (Donna and Keith Treece of Albuquerque, New Mexico), a half-sister and brother-in-law (Linda and Bryan Claycomb of Anna, Texas), sister-in-law, Pat Stoltzfus of Kansas City, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on October 24, 2023 at 10:00 o'clock at Floral Hills Funeral Home located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
