
Willie David King, 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at Research Medical Center on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Visitation will be on Monday, August 16, 2010 from 10-11 a.m., at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, with graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 11:30 a.m. Willie was born on March 7, 1930 in Ripley, MS, to Leonard and Bernice King. He has been in the Kansas City area since 1975 and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a Tower Technician for the state of Kansas and enjoyed fishing and being with his family. Willie is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; son, James David King, of AR; daughters, Ellen Louise (Tommy Luther) King, of TN; Willie Jane Moore, of AR; and Donna Lynn (David) Humphry, of AR; stepchildren: Charles Ray (Vickie) Thomey, of KCMO, Marvin Harold (Louise) Thomey, of Greenwood, MO; Tina Grace (Gordon) Smothers, of KCMO; 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
