He met his future wife, the love of his life, at the roller rink. They were married Sept.14, 1942. They had a wonderful 64 years together. He was with the painters union local #9 for 40 years.
He bought a lake home in 1971. And for 40 years he brought joy and happy family memories there. He enjoyed working and building additions to the lake home. When not working, he relaxed by taking the boat, along with Mom, out on the lake to fish. (Though many times they came back empty handed, but filled with a new, happy memory! ) He would take the kids water skiing and would also ski himself. He was an avid bowler for many, MANY years. He made some good friends there. He loved to play pool, as well. There's just not enough words that can encompass all he was. He was one of a kind. He was preceded in death, by his beloved wife, Frances Louise Yeager, his daughter, Carolyn Sue Huggins, and two sons Will Van Yeager and Elmer Eugene Yeager. Also his two sisters Viola Grace Greene and Edith Reynolds.
He leaves behind a son and best friend, Larry Dean Yeager, as well as his loving daughter, Gloria Jean Campbell, 5 grandchildren,12 great grandchildren, and NUMEROUS great GREAT grandchildren. Also nieces and nephews and numerous other family members. So MANY lives here on earth, because of one man:) We love you and miss you! Gone but NEVER forgotten, as you live on in ALL of us!
