Ed was born February 19, 1930, in Whiting, Iowa to Derk Boston and Marticia (Veach) Boston. He married his lovely bride of 69 years, Shirley Jean Sammons on February 1, 1953, in Onawa Iowa. Ed and Jean have two children Debbie White and Michael Boston. He is very proud of his service in the Marines and Airforce. Ed was a very caring person which resulted in him often being asked to help other people which he loved to do.
He is survived by his wife Jean, of the home, daughter Debbie White of Grandview, MO; son Michael Boston (wife Debbie) of Branson, MO; grandchildren Brian White (wife Melanie) of Belton, MO, Heather White of Grandview, MO, Brett Boston of Overland Park, KS, Adam Hoaglin (wife Kim) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Andrew Boston (wife Melissa) of Peculiar, MO, Alesa Wood of Harrisonville, MO. Great-grandchildren Dalton White, Alexis Mitchell (husband Sean) , Kiley Hoaglin, Trinity White, Devin Hoaglin, Jackson Keithley, Katie Wood, Gavin Boston, Lukas Keithley, Olivia Keithley, Clayton Wood, Lilliea Boston, Benson Mejia, & Leo Mejia. Great-great-grandchildren Annabell Mitchell & Saoirse Mitchell (due July 2022).
A Visitation for Willis will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at First Christian Church of Harrisonville, 400 South Independence Street, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701. This will be followed by a Masonic Service and Funeral Service at 1:00pm. A Committal Service with Full Military Honors will occur at 2:30 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Willis will be laid to rest in Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131; Garden of Faith Mausoleum; Section: Exterior North, Tier: 79, Crypt: D.
The family is requesting donations to Nearest Veterans Homeless Shelter, Children's Mercy Hospital Kansas City or St Judes. In Lieu of Flowers.
