Wilma C. Watts, 96, Kansas City, passed away June 30, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Smithville. Services will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke’s JOY Presbyterian Church, 4301 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City where a visitation will take place at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
Wilma was born March 15, 1918 to William and Caroline Hosfield in Avalon, Missouri. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. After retiring as an employment counselor for the City of Kansas City, Wilma spent many enjoyable days as a hospice volunteer and volunteer greeter at Kansas City International Airport and was a long-time member of JOY Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, her beloved husband, Roy Watts, loving son Robert Daniel Copeland, and granddaughter Adria Copeland. She is survived by her step-son Robert Watts of San Jose, CA; granddaughters Colleen (Paul) Enos and Marissa (Teagle) Bougere; great-grandchildren Ty, Alayna and Dylan Enos; her very best friend, Harold Pearson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to JOY Presbyterian Church or NorthCare Hospice.
