I was so sorry to hear about Junior. He was always such a nice person when I worked at Penn Valley. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Junior was my favorite umpire when I played American legion baseball. I always did well on the mound when he was behind the plate. As an adult, I enjoyed coaching basketball with him. He has the gift of making people smile and will be missed by many. My deepest condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Junior for 2 years at Penn Valley in the maintenance department.  We would chat about pool care, aquaintances in Smithville and neat ideas to help Brendan with his baseball skills.  Very easy going, gentle man who could spin a yarn with the best of them.  We were all very shocked and saddend to hear of his passing.  My condolences to all of his close family.  He spoke of all of you often and so fondly.  He will be missed dearly in the back halls and electrical closets of Penn  Valley

It is with a heavy heart to hear of Juniors death.He was a true friend with our family while growing up on the East side & attending Yeager Elementary & East High school. Saddened to hear of Junior's passing. My deepest sympathies to the entire Santellan family. I was just a little kid when "Nasho" and my brother Frank would play football together, I will always remember his smile.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Junior at Penn Valley Community College. Junior was a kind and thoughtful gentleman who took pride in doing his job with the upmost perfection. His sense of humor kept me on my toes, not always sure if what he was explaining to me was serious or was a joke. But when he spoke of his family, there was always a huge smile on his face and pride shining from his eyes. He will be deeply missed by the Penn Valley family, both retired and current staff and faculty.

     I cried this morning. But around you, so many times as youngsters, I always laughed. Through cross country and track at dear ol' East High, you usually beat me , but were a constant inspiration for me to improve. As Coach Fields once said, " I'll miss my two standbys, Mrs Colle ,my Mom, and Mr. Santellan, your Dad. at meets.
